Des Moines, IA – Iowans can look forward to a mostly clear and seasonably cool weekend, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Des Moines. After showers and potential severe storms on Friday, conditions are expected to improve significantly.

According to the NWS, Friday afternoon may bring some severe weather, but beyond Friday, the storms will clear out. High temperatures will range from 76 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit over the weekend, with lows between 59 and 70 degrees. The weather will be perfect for outdoor activities, as Saturday and Sunday are expected to be sunny and mild.

Air quality remains good with an index of 36, similar to the previous day. Winds will be coming from the south-southeast at 13 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph. The UV index is low, making it an ideal time for residents to spend time outside without much concern for sunburn.

Rain is predicted to return late Monday, bringing a change in the weather pattern. The highs on Monday will be around 78 degrees with potential showers. Tuesday might see thunderstorms with a 45% chance of precipitation and temperatures climbing to 87 degrees.

In summary, while Friday might be stormy, the weekend is set to be clear and pleasant, perfect for enjoying the last days of June.
