Quad Cities, IA – A period of unsettled weather is expected to develop late tonight and last through Monday. Widespread rain and thunderstorms will begin Sunday, with storms continuing into Sunday night. A 10-20% chance of severe weather exists south of Interstate 80.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain will intensify overnight and is expected to reach the Quad Cities early Sunday morning. Thunderstorms will accompany the rain, potentially bringing severe weather conditions to the region. While the chance of severe weather remains low, travelers and residents are advised to stay alert.

Sunday temperatures will range between 55°F and 65°F, with a slight cooling overnight to 41°F to 50°F. By Monday, the rain is expected to taper off, and temperatures will rise again to a range of 55°F to 60°F.
