Omaha, NE – Rain is moving into the Omaha metro area Thursday evening, bringing cooler temperatures and potential wind gusts. Residents should prepare for wet conditions as the week wraps up.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is likely after midnight Thursday, with increasing cloud cover throughout the day. A high of 49°F is expected Thursday, but temperatures will drop to 33°F overnight. Wind gusts could reach 17 mph, making for a chilly and damp evening commute.

Friday will see drier conditions, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 48°F. Winds will shift from the north to the south, reaching gusts of 18 mph. The weekend will bring temperature swings, with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the 30s.

Saturday looks mostly sunny with a high of 53°F, followed by another cloudy night. Sunday will warm up slightly to 56°F, offering a brief break from the cold before cooler air returns Monday.
