Quad Cities, Iowa/Illinois – A stretch of clear skies and mild summer nights is settling over the Quad Cities, with overnight lows dipping into the low to mid-60s. Drivers along and north of Hwy 30 should watch for patchy fog Monday morning, as humidity rises across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois.

According to the National Weather Service Quad Cities, seasonable temperatures in the 80s and humid conditions will prevail through much of the work week. Lows each night will hover between 61 and 69 degrees, keeping evenings comfortable but sticky.

On Monday, cities from Davenport to Moline can expect mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s. Patchy fog is likely early, especially in rural areas near Hwy 30, so commuters should slow down and use headlights. Air conditioners will get steady use as humidity climbs, and residents are urged to stay hydrated.

Rain chances return Tuesday, with a 20-50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms moving in during the afternoon and evening hours. Localized downpours may impact commutes on I-80 and I-74. By midweek, the pattern turns drier but remains warm.

Showers may linger into early Wednesday before more settled weather returns. More updates will follow as rain chances develop Tuesday.
