Washington – A chilly start is gripping Spokane this morning, with temperatures near 30°F in some neighborhoods and frost clinging to cars and rooftops. Early drivers are seeing dry roads for now, but the cold air is a reminder that conditions can change quickly this time of year.

According to the National Weather Service, skies clear today with sunshine pushing highs near 49°F. That calm stretch won’t last long. Clouds rebuild Tuesday, and a mix of rain and snow begins to enter the picture by Wednesday as a more active system moves in.

By Wednesday afternoon, a 50% chance of rain and snow develops, transitioning to steadier rain into the evening. Snow levels rise from around 2300 feet to 4500 feet during the day, limiting accumulation in Spokane but still creating brief mixed precipitation. Expect slick spots during heavier bursts, especially on bridges and overpasses.

Wednesday night brings a 100% chance of rain, with steady precipitation continuing into early Thursday. Roads will remain wet, and visibility may drop during heavier showers. Plan extra travel time along I-90 and Division Street, especially during peak commute hours.

Thursday stays unsettled with additional rain likely before gradual improvement later in the day. Temperatures hold in the upper 40s, keeping a cool, damp feel across the region.

Looking ahead, drier and milder weather returns by Friday into the first weekend of April, with highs climbing into the upper 50s and low 60s.

Five Day Outlook for Spokane, WA:

  • Today: Becoming sunny, high near 49°F
  • Tuesday: Partly sunny, high near 54°F
  • Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, low near 34°F
  • Wednesday: Chance of rain and snow, high near 51°F
  • Thursday: Rain likely, high near 49°F
