Indianapolis, Indiana – Scattered thunderstorms are set to impact central Indiana, with the highest risk for damaging winds and hail moving in by Friday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, storms will be isolated Thursday but become more widespread by Friday, bringing an 80% chance of rain to the region. Some storms could turn severe, producing gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rainfall, especially around Indianapolis, Carmel, and Greenwood. High temperatures will remain in the upper 70s to low 80s on Thursday, cooling into the 40s by Friday night.
