Indianapolis, Indiana – Morning commuters across central Indiana faced fog and lingering showers Tuesday, but clearer and warmer conditions are on the way by midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, light showers in eastern parts of the region are expected to taper off by late morning, while areas of dense fog—especially in southwestern counties—could reduce visibility through 9 a.m. Highs Tuesday will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s.
In Indianapolis, skies are expected to clear gradually, giving way to drier air ahead of a warming trend. On Wednesday, temperatures will climb into the mid-70s, with partly sunny skies dominating much of the state. Bloomington and Terre Haute may see highs nearing 75°F, while areas farther north like Muncie and Kokomo hold closer to 70°F.
Drivers are advised to use headlights and reduce speed in fog-prone areas this morning. Conditions should steadily improve after 10 a.m., making way for a pleasant afternoon. No additional rain is expected through Friday.
This dry and mild pattern is expected to continue into the weekend, with another round of weather updates likely by Thursday as temperatures hover in the 60s and 70s.
