Indianapolis, Indiana – Scattered showers and isolated storms will impact parts of central and northern Indiana through mid-morning Monday, with hazy skies lingering into Tuesday due to wildfire smoke drifting overhead.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, additional showers are expected later today across north central Indiana, particularly near Kokomo and Lafayette. While the rain should taper off by this evening, visibility may remain reduced at times due to smoke aloft. Highs today will stay in the mid-to-upper 70s, with overnight lows dropping into the low 50s south of I-70.

By Tuesday afternoon, clouds will gradually clear, setting up a stretch of dry weather through Thursday. Sunny skies and warmer temperatures—ranging from the low 80s Wednesday to the upper 80s Thursday—are expected across much of the state, including Bloomington, Muncie, and Fort Wayne.

Residents are advised to limit prolonged outdoor activity today if sensitive to air quality. Keep windows closed and use air filtration indoors if needed.

No thunderstorms are expected Wednesday or Thursday, though a slight chance of rain returns Friday as a new front approaches. Stay tuned for updated advisories later in the week.
