Bourbon, IN – A tornado classified as EF-1 caused damage in Marshall County, Indiana, on April 2, 2025. The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed the storm after conducting a damage survey. The tornado affected the town of Bourbon and surrounding areas, peaking at winds of 105 mph.

The storm occurred between 7:52 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. EDT. According to NWS reports, the tornado traveled along a path 17.9 miles long with a maximum width of 175 yards. Remarkably, there were no reported injuries or fatalities from the event.

This EF-1 tornado marks the latest severe weather event in the region. The NWS, in partnership with local Emergency Management, conducted the survey to assess damage and help guide recovery efforts. Despite the tornado’s strength, the absence of casualties is a notable relief for the community.
