Indianapolis, IN – Indiana banned Happy Hour in 1985, but starting Monday, bars and restaurants in Indiana will once again offer the popular social tradition.
Signed into law in March, the new legislation reinstates Happy Hour, much to the delight of local patrons. According to state officials, establishments can now offer discounted drinks but remain prohibited from doing so between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. and offering “bottomless specials.” This cautious approach aims to balance the excitement of Happy Hour with responsible alcohol consumption.
Several restaurants and bars have already announced enticing deals in preparation for Happy Hour’s return. From half-priced appetizers to discounted cocktails, the anticipation is building as businesses gear up to welcome more patrons. The return of Happy Hour is expected to boost local economies, enhance social experiences, and add a lively atmosphere to evenings across Indiana.
