According to the National Weather Service, snowfall will peak over a six-hour period Friday night. Additional snow may fall Saturday before temperatures drop significantly. Wind chills could reach -25°F by Sunday night, creating dangerous conditions.
Travel impacts are expected during Friday’s evening commute, with reduced visibility and hazardous roads. The highest snowfall amounts will likely occur near and north of I-80.
