Springfield, IL – A mild weather pattern will persist across central Illinois this week, with scattered showers expected tonight and a greater chance of rain on Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service Central Illinois, temperatures will remain above average, ranging from the mid-30s overnight to highs in the upper 50s through Friday. While light rainfall is expected tonight, heavier showers could develop midweek.

Tuesday will be mostly dry with highs between 55-59°F, followed by increasing rain chances Wednesday, with temperatures reaching 56-61°F. A slight drop in temperatures is expected Thursday, bringing highs of 49-51°F before warming again into the weekend.
