According to the National Weather Service, a cold front sweeping through early next week may trigger thunderstorms late Monday into Tuesday. Chicago and suburbs like Naperville, Schaumburg, and Joliet may see scattered showers starting late Monday night. While severe weather is less likely in the immediate metro, Monday evening commutes could still be impacted. Drivers should avoid flooded roads and secure outdoor items ahead of the weather shift.

Friday and Saturday will bring dry, breezy spring weather. Saturday is expected to be sunny with a high near 50°F and gusts up to 25 mph. Sunday continues the pleasant trend with highs near 63°F under mostly sunny skies.
