The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is now accepting applications for the State Pheasant Fund Special Funds Grant Program and the Illinois Habitat Fund Special Funds Grant Program. Nonprofit organizations and governmental entities have until August 1 to submit their proposals.

According to IDNR, the Pheasant Fund aims to enhance pheasant habitats, while the Habitat Fund focuses on improving habitats for both game and non-game wildlife. Funding for these programs is generated from the sale of Habitat Stamps to sportsmen and sportswomen.

Interested applicants must be registered and compliant with the state’s Grant Accountability and Transparency Act grantee portal. Applications should be submitted online via the Amplifund portal. For further information, visit the IDNR website or contact Susan Duke at susan.duke@illinois.gov.
