Boise, ID – A significant warming trend in Idaho is set to bring near-record high temperatures on Thursday, April 10. Cities across the state, including Boise, Baker City, and Burns, are expected to experience temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service, Boise could see a high of 80°F, surpassing its previous record of 79°F set in 2023. Other areas like McCall and Ontario will also experience unseasonably warm temperatures, reaching highs of 61°F and 68°F, respectively.
However, this warm spell will be short-lived. By the weekend, cooler conditions are expected to return, with temperatures dipping back into the low 50s and 60s. McCall, for example, will see highs drop to 51°F on Saturday, well below the expected high of 61°F on Friday.
Residents are encouraged to take precautions for the warm weather, including staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun.
