Raleigh, NC – A foggy Monday morning will give way to sunshine and above-average temperatures, but rain returns midweek. Residents across central North Carolina can expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs reaching the upper 60s early this week.
According to the National Weather Service, dense fog is expected before 9 a.m. Monday, especially near low-lying areas and roadways like I-40 and I-540. Drivers should use caution during the morning commute. By the afternoon, the sun will break through, with a high near 69°F.
Tuesday continues the warming trend, reaching 72°F under mostly sunny skies. However, changes arrive Wednesday as clouds increase and scattered showers develop late. Rain chances climb to 40% by Wednesday night and continue into Thursday, when highs reach 75°F.
By Friday, the rain clears, and cooler air moves in, with highs near 68°F and lows in the low 40s. The first weekend of February may bring another round of showers. Stay updated on changing conditions.
