Albany, NY – The National Weather Service in Albany has released rainfall totals from the past 48 hours (Oct. 30–Nov. 1, 2025), showing widespread precipitation across eastern New York and western New England.
The heaviest rainfall—between 1.5 and 3.0 inches— fell across the Hudson River Valley and Lake George Region, extending eastward into Vermont, western Massachusetts, and western Connecticut.
According to the NWS, lighter amounts between 0.5 and 1.5 inches were recorded in areas west of the Hudson, including the Schoharie Valley, western Mohawk Valley, and southern Adirondacks.
Rainfall was generated by a slow-moving frontal system that brought steady precipitation to much of the region Thursday through Saturday morning. The heaviest downpours were confined to higher terrain and river valleys, contributing to minor ponding on roads but no major flooding issues.
Forecasters expect drier weather to return through Sunday, with seasonable temperatures and breezy northwest winds across upstate New York.
