Houston, TX – Temperatures across southeast Texas are expected to hit the mid-90s today, bringing another round of hot weather. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities as afternoon highs soar to 95°F in Houston, with similar temperatures across Galveston, Huntsville, and Bay City.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), tonight will bring slight relief, with lows dropping to the mid-70s. Despite cooler evening temperatures, the heatwave will persist through Friday, with highs again forecasted in the mid-90s for much of the region, including College Station and Conroe.
The NWS has highlighted the importance of staying indoors during peak heat hours, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., to avoid heat-related illnesses. Minimal chances of rain mean residents should prepare for more dry conditions through the weekend, with rain probabilities below 20% in most areas.
