Medford, OR – Strong winds are expected to impact parts of Oregon and Northern California through early Tuesday morning, with gusts reaching up to 65 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Medford, a High Wind Warning remains in effect from 10 a.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday for areas including Lake, Klamath, and Modoc counties. Cities such as Alturas, Lakeview, Paisley, and Chemult are in the affected zone, along with major highways 395, 140, and 31.

Southwest winds between 35 and 45 mph, with stronger gusts, may cause power outages and hazardous travel conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles. Unsecured outdoor objects and tree limbs could be at risk of damage.

Residents are urged to secure outdoor items, remain cautious of falling debris, and prepare for possible disruptions to power and travel. Drivers should use extra caution, particularly on open roads and mountain passes.
