The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Winter Storm Warning for Bennington and Western Windham counties, effective from 4 a.m. Thursday to 1 a.m. Friday. Areas at elevations over 1,000 feet could see up to 12 inches of snow, with higher amounts possible in some locations.
The warning extends to Northern Warren, Hamilton, and Northern Herkimer counties in New York, where snowfall is expected to total 5 to 10 inches. According to the NWS, travel conditions will likely be hazardous, with significant disruptions anticipated during Thanksgiving.
