Green Bay, WI – Warm weather will continue through the weekend across Wisconsin. However, a cold front is set to bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms today. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay advises residents to prepare for these changes.

According to the NWS, mostly cloudy skies will dominate today with showers and thunderstorms likely this afternoon and evening. Those planning outdoor activities, particularly boating on the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Michigan from Washington Island to Sheboygan, should stay alert for storm developments. Boating conditions will include variable winds at 5 to 10 knots and waves up to 2 feet.

Sunday’s temperatures will range from 76°F to 86°F, with afternoon and evening storms expected. The chance of showers will persist into Monday, when temperatures will drop to highs between 67°F and 75°F. Locally heavy rain is possible in central and east-central Wisconsin from Monday afternoon through Monday night.

By Tuesday, conditions are expected to improve with decreasing clouds and highs from 71°F to 77°F. Wednesday will bring partly cloudy skies and temperatures ranging from 72°F to 79°F. Residents should prepare for cooler temperatures and potential heavy rainfall early in the week.
