Hanford, CA – A wet and stormy end to the week is in store for Hanford and surrounding areas, with rain and thunderstorms expected through Friday. After steady rainfall overnight, more showers are forecast throughout the day, accompanied by gusty winds reaching up to 20 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is likely before 11 a.m. Friday, with scattered thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Temperatures will peak at 55°F, while southeast winds shift northward later in the day. Precipitation chances remain high at 80%, with up to a quarter inch of rain expected.

By Friday night, conditions will begin to improve. Rain chances decrease to 30% before 11 p.m., with clearing skies overnight. Saturday brings a welcome break from the rain, as mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures near 63°F return to the region.

Looking ahead, the weekend remains mostly dry, with Sunday reaching a pleasant 69°F under partly sunny skies. However, another round of rain is possible late Sunday night into Monday, with a 50% chance of precipitation.
