Hanford, CA – A freeze warning remains in effect across parts of the San Joaquin Valley today, with temperatures dipping as low as 31°F. The National Weather Service warns of frost and freeze conditions that could damage crops and outdoor plumbing, particularly in rural areas. Residents should take immediate precautions to protect tender plants and ensure outdoor pipes are insulated.

According to the National Weather Service, the warning extends until 9 a.m. Wednesday and impacts regions including Hanford, Corcoran, and Lemoore, as well as areas along Highway 41. Dense fog is also expected in low-lying areas, further complicating travel. Visibility could drop to under a mile in places, increasing the risk of accidents.

After the freeze warning lifts, the region will see sunny skies with highs reaching 63°F on Wednesday. Overnight lows, however, will remain cold, around 36°F, with frost likely. The weather will remain consistent into the weekend, with daytime highs in the low 60s and clear skies, but nightly frost may persist.

Drivers should exercise caution on frosty roads, particularly in shaded areas or near bridges, where ice is more likely to form. For farmers and gardeners, keeping sensitive plants covered overnight is strongly recommended.
