Grundy County, IL: Man Arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Child Endangerment

Grundy County, IL – A 22-year-old man from Carbon Hill was arrested Thursday for allegedly battering his 9-month-old son, facing charges of aggravated domestic battery and endangering the life of a child.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, a police report was made around 2:21 p.m. on Thursday by a woman who provided video evidence of the incidents. The evidence showed the infant being battered inside a residence in the 600 block of W. Judson Street on three separate occasions. The alleged batterer, Christopher Cruickshank, had visitation rights with his child at the time.

After reviewing the video evidence, the Grundy County State’s Attorney approved the charges. Deputies arrested Cruickshank at his residence at 4:09 p.m. on Thursday. He was transported to the Grundy County Jail and detained pending a pre-trial release hearing.
