Green Bay, WI – Rain showers are expected to return to the Green Bay area this evening, creating potential slick conditions on local roads, particularly Highways 41 and 172. Residents should prepare for evening rainfall beginning around 11 p.m., with precipitation continuing into Thursday morning. Drivers should remain cautious on the roads during these hours due to the risk of reduced visibility and slick surfaces.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances remain high overnight, with forecasts indicating an 80% to 100% probability of showers in Green Bay. Rainfall is expected to be light to moderate, accumulating between a quarter and half an inch by Thursday morning. The weather system will bring southeast winds at 7 to 13 mph, with occasional gusts reaching up to 22 mph, contributing to potentially challenging travel conditions.

As rain lingers into early Thursday, temperatures will reach a high near 50°F. By Thursday afternoon, the rain will taper off, giving way to mostly cloudy skies overnight with a low around 40°F. A shift to warmer, drier weather is anticipated starting Friday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 52°F expected. Friday night will remain partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to a low of 38°F.

Looking ahead, Saturday and Sunday are forecasted to bring seasonably warm and dry weather, with highs in the mid-50s. A chance of showers may return Saturday night, but daytime hours over the weekend should remain clear and favorable for outdoor activities.
