Green Bay, WI – Snow and bitterly cold temperatures are set to impact northeast Wisconsin on Sunday, bringing hazardous travel conditions to the region. The National Weather Service (NWS) has forecast snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with higher amounts possible in Door County. Snow-covered roads and reduced visibility are expected, particularly on major routes such as Interstate 43.

According to the NWS, snow will begin late Saturday night and continue through Sunday afternoon. Travel could become increasingly difficult, especially as temperatures drop and wind chills fall to as low as -25°F by Monday morning. Residents are advised to limit travel, prepare for delays, and dress in layers to avoid frostbite.

The weekend’s cold front will also usher in frigid air for the start of the workweek. Highs on Monday are expected to reach just 10°F, while lows overnight could plummet to 1°F. Wind gusts up to 25 mph will make conditions feel even colder, potentially creating dangerous outdoor exposure risks.

Looking ahead, Tuesday offers some relief, with partly sunny skies and highs near 15°F. However, another round of cold air will keep overnight temperatures in the single digits through midweek.

Drivers are urged to monitor road conditions at 511wi.gov and ensure vehicles are winter-ready. Those commuting early on Sunday should plan extra travel time and be prepared for slick conditions.

This weather system highlights the importance of staying informed and taking precautions during winter weather events. Continue checking updates for potential changes in the forecast.
