Green Bay, Wisconsin – Thunderstorms could rumble across central and east-central Wisconsin late Tuesday as a slow-moving weather pattern delivers daily rain chances across the state this week.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the most active period arrives Tuesday afternoon and evening, when showers and embedded storms are expected across communities including Appleton, Wausau, and Fond du Lac. While the risk for severe storms is low, brief downpours and gusty winds are possible.
Rain begins Monday and continues into Friday, with varying intensity each day. Monday’s rain will move from south to north and taper off by late evening. Temperatures will rise steadily through the week, with highs ranging from the upper 30s Monday to near 70 by Thursday.
Widespread showers return Wednesday and Thursday, potentially affecting morning and evening commutes along major routes like I-41 and Highway 29. A few isolated thunderstorms could also develop Thursday afternoon.
Drivers are encouraged to reduce speeds on slick roads, check wiper blades, and allow extra travel time. Residents should monitor basements and low-lying areas for water accumulation, especially midweek.
Rain is expected to end Friday morning, but additional advisories may be issued if storm activity intensifies.
