According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts in the valleys could hit 35-45 mph, while mountainous areas may see gusts as high as 55 mph. Travelers on I-70 and US 50 should prepare for hazardous driving conditions, including reduced visibility and slick roads.

After the storm, Friday night will remain mostly cloudy with a low of 29°F. By Saturday, there’s a 50% chance of lingering snow showers, with temperatures peaking near 49°F. Winds will shift westward, bringing gusts up to 20 mph.
Sunday offers a break with sunny skies and a high near 58°F, but another system could bring rain and snow showers by Tuesday. Temperatures will fluctuate, with highs in the 40s and lows dropping to the 20s.
