Atlanta, GA – North and central Georgia will see a mix of stormy and calm weather in the coming days as spring patterns bring shifting conditions. Thunderstorms, gusty winds, and showers will persist through Monday before sunny skies and rising temperatures take over midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, scattered thunderstorms are expected across north and central Georgia throughout Sunday night into early Monday. Some storms could produce wind gusts of 40-50 mph and frequent lightning, though severe weather is not anticipated. Rainfall amounts could reach up to a quarter of an inch.

Commuters on major roadways, including I-75 and I-85, should prepare for wet roads and reduced visibility Monday morning. Winds from the northeast at 10 mph, with gusts up to 15 mph, may make travel challenging at times.

By Monday night, rain chances decrease, and skies will begin to clear. A stretch of warm and sunny spring weather will follow, with Tuesday’s high reaching 71°F and Wednesday warming to 75°F. Nighttime lows will be in the mid-40s, providing cooler mornings.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday bring a slight chance of showers, but temperatures will remain mild, hovering in the mid-70s. By the weekend, another round of thunderstorms may develop, though forecasts remain uncertain.
