Charleston, SC – Hurricane Milton is expected to bring major impacts to coastal areas in Georgia and South Carolina as it approaches midweek. The National Weather Service has issued warnings about significant flooding, strong wind gusts, and dangerous rip currents that may peak on Wednesday and Thursday. Coastal communities could see water levels rise into major flood stages, with the highest risks on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, Milton could bring tropical storm conditions starting Wednesday night. Tides in southeast Georgia and South Carolina may push beyond minor flood levels.
