Atlanta, GA – Drivers in northwest Georgia are urged to exercise caution this Monday morning as dense fog blankets the region through 9 a.m. Fog is expected to create hazardous conditions along major roadways, including I-75, reducing visibility and potentially delaying commutes. Patchy fog formed overnight, and conditions will gradually improve as temperatures rise. Motorists are advised to use low-beam headlights and slow down on roads.

According to the National Weather Service, river flooding remains a concern this week for areas along the Flint, Ocmulgee, and Oconee rivers. Communities near these rivers could experience continued flooding through midweek, especially in low-lying areas.

Looking ahead, Tuesday brings partly sunny skies and warmer conditions, with highs near 81°F and northwest winds up to 10 mph. Sunny weather continues into Wednesday, with highs climbing to 82°F. By Thursday, the forecast calls for clear skies, with another warm day ahead, peaking at 83°F.

Residents should remain vigilant for any changes in weather, especially in flood-prone areas. Flood advisories remain in effect, and locals are encouraged to stay updated via local authorities and weather forecasts throughout the week.
