Charleston, SC – A freeze warning has been issued for parts of southeast Georgia and South Carolina, with temperatures expected to drop as low as 29°F early Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, the warning is in effect from 1 AM to 8 AM EST Monday. Affected areas include Jenkins, Screven, Bulloch, Effingham, Allendale, Hampton, Colleton, Dorchester, Berkeley, and Jasper counties, along with cities such as Statesboro, Summerville, and Moncks Corner.

Forecasters warn that frost and freezing conditions could damage crops, sensitive vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing. Residents are advised to take precautions, such as covering plants or bringing them indoors and insulating exposed pipes.

In addition, Candler and Evans counties, including Metter and Claxton, are under a similar freeze warning, with temperatures expected to dip to 32°F.
