Frost Possible Overnight; Paducah Region Warming Trend Starts Monday

Paducah, KY – The National Weather Service in Paducah reports that light rain will taper off late tonight (Saturday, Nov. 1), followed by a Freeze Warning for Carter and Wayne counties in the southeast Missouri highlands.

Temperatures in those areas are expected to drop below freezing overnight, potentially ending the growing season. Elsewhere across the region—including western Kentucky, southern Illinois, and northwest Tennesseelingering clouds will keep overnight lows just above freezing.

Sunday will start with patchy frost, then turn mostly sunny with highs near 55°F. A significant warming trend begins Monday, with southerly winds returning and afternoon highs reaching the low to mid-60s, climbing into the upper 60s and low 70s by midweek.

According to the NWS, the next chance of light rain is not expected until Friday, November 7, as another weak system approaches the region.
