Columbia, SC – The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for portions of east central Georgia and central South Carolina, effective early Sunday morning from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m.
According to the advisory, temperatures are expected to drop as low as 33 degrees, leading to frost formation in areas including Augusta, Waynesboro, Aiken, Orangeburg, and surrounding regions. Sensitive outdoor plants may be at risk of damage or death if left uncovered during the advisory period.
Residents are urged to take precautions to protect tender vegetation, such as covering plants or bringing them indoors.
The advisory highlights potential impacts in counties across the area, including Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, and Barnwell, among others.
