Areas included in the advisory are Halifax, Franklin, Nash, Edgecombe, Johnston, Wilson, Harnett, Wayne, Hoke, Cumberland, and Sampson counties, encompassing cities such as Fayetteville, Rocky Mount, and Goldsboro.
According to the National Weather Service, the frost may harm sensitive outdoor plants if they are left unprotected. Residents are urged to take precautions to safeguard vegetation by covering or moving them indoors before temperatures dip overnight.
