Frost Advisory for Eastern North Carolina Tonight: Temps Drop Into the 30s Inland

Morehead City, NC – The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued a Frost Advisory for inland portions of eastern North Carolina, with overnight lows dropping into the mid-30s late Saturday into Sunday morning (Nov. 2).

Communities including Greenville, Kinston, Kenansville, and New Bern are likely to see patchy frost formation, while coastal areas such as Morehead City, Ocracoke, and Rodanthe will remain milder, with lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

According to the NWS, frost could impact sensitive vegetation, and residents are encouraged to cover plants or bring them indoors overnight. Winds will remain light under mostly clear skies, allowing temperatures to fall quickly before sunrise.
