Freeze Watch Issued for Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia

Jacksonville, FL – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jacksonville has issued a Freeze Watch for portions of northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. The watch is in effect from Friday evening through Saturday morning, with sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 degrees possible.

According to the NWS, the affected areas include inland regions across northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. Residents are urged to take precautions to protect tender vegetation, outdoor pets, and vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and the homeless.

Temperatures are expected to drop rapidly Friday night, with freezing conditions persisting until Saturday morning.
