Frankfort, IL –  As the Frankfort Bluegrass Festival rapidly approaches in just hours, organizers are reminding attendees that no alcohol or smoking is permitted at the event. Violators may face a $500 fine for open alcohol on the Green or in Prairie Park. Those wishing to enjoy alcoholic beverages are encouraged to visit local establishments on Kansas Street, such as Trails Edge Brewery and Old Plank Trail Tavern.

According to festival guidelines, attendees should respect their neighbors by sharing space and dancing off to the side. The event aims to be family-friendly, so smoking is discouraged. Parking should be done considerately to maintain good neighbor relations. Additionally, visitors are encouraged to keep the festival grounds clean by picking up after themselves, demonstrating that bluegrass fans can indeed keep the grass green.

For those seeking to become more involved, volunteer opportunities are available. While camping is not allowed at the festival itself, nearby options include Martin Campground in New Lenox. Pets should be left at home for their comfort.

Attendees are welcome to bring low-back chairs and small coolers, but shade tents and umbrellas are prohibited. Outside food is allowed, though the festival will feature a variety of reasonably priced food vendors.
