The weather will improve slightly heading into the weekend. Friday will be sunny but cold, with highs near 19°F. By Saturday, a winter mix of snow and freezing rain is expected in the afternoon, transitioning to rain overnight. Highs on Saturday will climb to 37°F, offering a brief reprieve from the bitter cold.
Sunday and Monday will see temperatures in the low 40s, but cloudy skies and rain chances may create hazardous travel conditions. Roads, particularly north of the Fox Valley, could become slippery due to freezing rain and snow melt.
