Tulsa, Oklahoma – A tornado watch is in effect across portions of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri until 7 a.m. CDT Saturday as severe overnight storms continue sweeping through the region.

According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, Tornado Watch 382 includes key population centers like Tulsa, Fort Smith, and Bentonville. Residents in 36 counties across four states are urged to remain weather-aware through sunrise due to the threat of tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail.

In Oklahoma, the watch spans from Adair to Washington County, including metro Tulsa and Muskogee. Arkansas counties under the watch include Sebastian, Crawford, and Washington. Southeast Kansas counties like Cowley, Montgomery, and Cherokee are also included, as well as Missouri’s McDonald County in the far southwest corner of the state.

Emergency officials advise residents to have multiple ways to receive warnings overnight, especially with storms likely during sleeping hours. Stay indoors, keep mobile devices charged, and move to a safe interior room if a tornado warning is issued.

This is the second multi-state tornado watch issued this week, signaling an active early June storm pattern. The tornado threat will diminish after 7 a.m., but additional alerts could be issued later today as the system moves east.
