Fog and Showers Forecast for Indianapolis as Cold Front Approaches

Indianapolis, IN — Residents of central Indiana can expect a shift in the weather today as the remnants of Tropical Storm Helene begin to fade. Mostly cloudy skies and isolated showers will dominate the afternoon, but the clouds may break, bringing patchy fog tonight. Temperatures will hover between 74°F and 78°F, with lows reaching 64°F tonight.

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, a cold front will arrive tomorrow. This cold front is expected to bring dry and clear weather to the region for the remainder of the week. Tomorrow’s high will reach between 77°F and 81°F, with overnight lows dropping to 48°F. Dense fog may linger during the morning, followed by sunny skies.

The hazardous weather outlook notes the potential for visibility issues due to fog, but no major disruptions are anticipated. Spotter activation is not expected. Residents should prepare for clear, sunny conditions starting Wednesday, with temperatures reaching the low 70s.
