Tampa, FL – Florida residents woke up to another chilly morning Thursday as temperatures dipped to the low 40s across Tampa Bay, with wind chills making it feel even colder. A cold weather advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m., urging residents to stay warm and limit outdoor exposure.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), areas such as Crystal River and Williston saw temperatures as low as 35°F, with wind chills dropping to 30°F. Tampa’s International Airport recorded a morning low of 42°F, but warmer conditions are expected by Friday afternoon as highs reach 72°F.

Despite the brief reprieve, another cold front is forecast to move into the region Saturday, bringing a 20% chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms. Saturday’s highs are expected to stay in the mid-60s, with lows dropping to 47°F overnight.

Drivers along major roadways, including I-275 and US-41, are advised to remain cautious during early hours, as cold conditions can impact visibility and vehicle performance. Residents are encouraged to dress warmly, check on vulnerable neighbors, and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure to prevent hypothermia.

By Sunday, sunny skies will return, bringing highs near 64°F. However, another round of rain is anticipated Sunday night into Monday, with a 30% chance of thunderstorms.
