Melbourne, FL – Cooler weather and scattered showers are set to impact Brevard County and surrounding areas today, bringing breezy northwest winds and hazardous beach conditions. Residents and visitors should exercise caution near the water, as rip currents remain a significant risk at area beaches.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers will continue throughout the day, especially south of Okeechobee and into Brevard County. A moderate risk of rip currents has been issued for beaches along Florida’s Space Coast, along with small craft advisories in effect for local waters. High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to low 70s, with gusty winds making conditions feel cooler.

Sunday’s weather offers slight improvement, with partly sunny skies and highs near 72 degrees. Winds will subside slightly but remain northerly, maintaining mild temperatures. Beachgoers are urged to heed local advisories, especially when entering the water, as hazardous conditions are expected to persist into the start of the week.

Looking ahead, Monday and Tuesday promise clearer skies and drier air, with highs in the mid-60s and lows dipping into the upper 40s. Sunshine will dominate midweek, with temperatures climbing gradually toward the weekend.

Drivers along I-95 and local roadways should also prepare for slick conditions this weekend due to intermittent showers. Residents are encouraged to check for weather updates and avoid unnecessary risks in potentially dangerous beach conditions.
