Winds are projected to reach 8 to 13 mph today, posing a risk for vessels operating in the area.
According to the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) Tampa Bay, the advisory began Wednesday morning and is set to last until Thursday at 8 a.m. Officials emphasize that small watercraft, including recreational and fishing vessels, should avoid open waters or take shelter along safer coastal regions. Wind speeds are predicted to maintain their intensity until the advisory expires, with gusts capable of making navigation challenging and potentially unsafe.
For those on land, Tampa’s forecast offers a clear and warm stretch ahead. Wednesday through Sunday promises sunny skies with daytime highs around 87°F. Winds will shift slightly each day, with speeds varying between 7 to 13 mph. Overnight lows are expected to stay near 69°F, making for mild evenings. With clear skies dominating the region, residents can anticipate dry conditions throughout the week and weekend.
By Saturday, winds will continue shifting from east to northeast, offering similar gusts that will gradually ease into Sunday. Boaters and beachgoers are encouraged to stay informed through local weather updates for any changes in advisories or conditions.
