According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, showers and thunderstorms are expected after 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, with an 80% chance of precipitation across Leon County. Localized downpours could impact key roads including U.S. 319 and Capital Circle NE, especially during the evening commute. Residents should prepare for brief street flooding and delays.

Winds from the south-southwest may gust up to 10 mph during the afternoon. By Thursday night, the rain may ease slightly, but scattered showers remain possible through 2 a.m. Friday. Overnight lows will hover near 73°F.

The active weather pattern continues Friday with a high near 92°F and storms likely between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday night will stay warm and humid, with an 80% chance of rain lingering into the weekend.
