Orlando, FL – Dry and windy conditions will continue in Central Florida through Tuesday, raising the risk of wildfires as spring approaches later this week. A Red Flag Warning is in effect until 8 p.m. Monday, with gusty northwest winds and low humidity creating dangerous fire conditions across the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, winds will range from 15 to 20 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph. Humidity levels will drop as low as 25%, increasing the likelihood of rapidly spreading fires. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.

Tuesday’s Forecast and Weather Impacts

Tuesday will remain sunny but breezy, with a high near 76°F. Winds will shift to the northeast at 5 to 10 mph by the evening. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 40s, keeping conditions cool.

Residents should stay cautious of rip currents along the Atlantic beaches, as rough surf and strong offshore winds will persist through midweek. If caught in a rip current, experts advise swimming parallel to the shore rather than fighting against it.

Looking Ahead: Five-Day Outlook

• Wednesday: Sunny, high of 83°F, with a southeast wind at 5 mph.

• Thursday (First Day of Spring): Mostly sunny, high of 82°F, and slightly breezier conditions.

• Friday: Cooler, with a high of 70°F and northeast winds.

• Saturday: Partly cloudy, high near 75°F, and light breezes.

With spring officially beginning Thursday, warmer and drier conditions will continue into the weekend. Residents should remain alert for fire risks and avoid outdoor burning.
