The National Weather Service cautions that typical summertime heat and humidity will persist through the work week, with heat index values in many areas hovering near or above 100°F daily.
Forecast data indicates the following peak heat index values for the week:
- Greater Orlando: 102°F to 101°F through Thursday
- Melbourne: 103°F on Sunday, remaining in the high 90s to 100°F through Thursday
- Daytona Beach: Up to 100°F
- Vero Beach and Fort Pierce: 104°F and 102°F on Sunday, with temperatures staying near 100°F
