Tallahassee, FL — Florida drivers face dense fog across the Panhandle early Tuesday, but spring warmth will dominate the rest of the week.

A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, reducing visibility to under a quarter mile in many areas. Commuters along I-10 and other local highways should use headlights and leave extra stopping distance. The fog is expected to lift by late morning as sunshine returns and temperatures climb near 80°F.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, patchy fog formed after 4 a.m. and could persist through mid-morning. Calm winds and clear skies overnight allowed moisture to settle, especially in low-lying and inland areas. Conditions will rapidly improve by midday Tuesday with mostly sunny skies expected.

Wednesday will bring more typical spring weather to Leon County and surrounding areas, with a high near 83°F under sunny skies. Winds remain light, shifting from calm in the morning to northerly by afternoon. Overnight lows will drop into the low 50s.

Here’s a look ahead:

  • Thursday: Sunny, high of 79°F.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny and warm, high near 80°F.
  • Saturday: Low chance of showers, highs in the low 80s.
  • Sunday into Monday: Slight chance of thunderstorms, continued warm with highs in the 80s.
