Florida starts the morning under a gray, cool sky, with temperatures near 50°F in Tampa and a light breeze drifting across the bay. It feels crisp for mid-March, but that chill fades quickly as sunshine begins to take over.

According to the National Weather Service, skies clear through the day with highs reaching near 70°F. Winds remain light out of the northeast, keeping conditions dry and travel smooth across I-275, I-4, and the Howard Frankland Bridge.

The warming trend builds steadily. Thursday climbs to near 75°F under full sun, followed by a jump to 78°F Friday. By Friday afternoon, Tampa Bay sees ideal conditions for outdoor plans, with clear skies and low humidity.

The weekend brings a stronger push of warmth. Saturday reaches near 79°F with abundant sunshine, while Sunday climbs to around 82°F, marking one of the warmest stretches so far this season. Roads stay dry, and visibility remains excellent across Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

This pattern aligns with a broader national trend, as heat expands eastward from the western U.S. into the Southeast. Meteorologists indicate above-normal temperatures will likely persist into early April.

For now, expect a quiet stretch of weather with no major disruptions. Still, cooler mornings may require a light jacket before temperatures rebound quickly by midday.

Five Day Forecast for Tampa, FL
Thursday: Sunny, high near 75°F
Friday: Sunny, high near 78°F
Saturday: Sunny, high near 79°F
Sunday: Sunny, high near 82°F
Monday: Sunny, high near 82°F
