Tallahassee, FL – Thanksgiving travelers and residents in Florida’s Panhandle should prepare for potential storms and gusty winds Thursday as a cold front moves through. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a marginal severe weather risk, with damaging gusts up to 60 mph possible during the afternoon and evening hours.

According to the NWS Tallahassee office, the front is expected to bring isolated thunderstorms across the area, including cities near I-10. Morning conditions may include patchy fog, impacting visibility for drivers. The severe weather risk diminishes into the evening, giving way to cooler temperatures heading into Friday.

• Friday: Sunny with cooler highs near 63°F and lows dropping into the upper 30s overnight.
